HOA is short form for Homeowners' association. Usually this association is run by community members who run for and are elected to be board members.  Once elected, board members are assigned several roles to carry out. In short, property managers are responsible for assessing and finding the reasonable market value of various units that are under the homeowners' association management. Collecting dues involves collecting bill payments and doing it on time. These managers also assist the board to prepare financial statements of the Association as well as preparing the budget. They also manage reserve funds.

 

Another role that the homeowner's association management is responsible for is maintaining property. This role means that the managers are responsible for making sure that the property is in good condition and overseeing its protection and upkeep. This usually means that the property managers have to hire maintenance contractors to perform services such as general cleaning, lawn maintenance, painting, plumbing, electrical repairs and carpentry among other services that work towards making sure the property is in good condition. Another service that this association offers the community is record-keeping. They keep records of books of every unit contained in the property and all contracts and files kept by the Association. Apart from this, the management team acts as a link between the board and the individual units. This point means that they receive individual calls from homeowners. These calls may be for complaints or for asking for a particular service. Whatever the reason, the managers provide a way for the unit owners to connect with the managing board of the homeowner's association.
